WALLTHERAPY and URBAN NATION are excited to launch the International exchange program between Rochester and Berlin. Artists curated by the UN Director Yasha Young have been invited to participate and contribute to the program of WALLTHERAPY 2015 curated by Ian Wilson (founder, co-curator) and Erich Lehman (co-curator, lead organizer). WALLTHERAPY 2015 will kick off on July 17, 2015, and our theme for this year is surrealism and the fantastic.

Brooklyn Street Art founders Jaime Rojo and Steve Harrington will be contributing with a very exciting special talk during the week.

To start things off right, we will be holding our first proper exhibition kickoff titled IMPACT! This exhibition will take place at 1975 Gallery (89 Charlotte St.) and will showcase artwork from all the 2015 participating WALLTHERAPY artists in support of IMPACT! – IMProving Access to Care by Teleradiology – www.impactrad.org. IMPACT seeks to provide easier access to better care in underdeveloped and underserved regions through cloud-based x-ray services and a network of volunteer radiologists supporting IMPACT sites. Both WALLTHERAPY and IMPACT! are projects of The Synthesis Collaborative.

For the second year in a row, everyone here on the WALLTHERAPY team is blown away by your astounding support for our project through our Indiegogo campaign.

This year, 155 donors made 187 donations totaling $35,002 to help WALLTHERAPY bring even more art, color, and inspiration to the walls of Rochester, NY. Your support means the world to us, and we will continue to work hard to populate the walls of Rochester with a diverse blend of inspirational mural art and graffiti.

From all of us on the team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Please join us July 18 – 27 for this year’s main WALLTHERAPY event, focusing on the subject of human portraiture. We were able to offer a sample of that this past weekend with visiting artist ECB’s work in the Port of Charlotte at 421 River St. We’ll be posting up more photos of that soon, but you can check out our Instagram feed and our Facebook page to get the latest photos as they happen! For now, here’s a teaser image!
